Dr. Mark Stines received his doctorate degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1980 after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He is a graduate of Northwest High School and after completing his Optometric degree returned to his hometown of Grand Island to open a private practice. In 1985, he joined his practice with Dr. Bunger’s to form Family Eyecare Center. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and Nebraska Optometric Association. He specializes in fitting contact lenses of all types, children’s visually related learning problems, and ocular disease diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Stines and his wife Carol are the very proud parents of three awesome children, Katie, Adam and Jacob. They are active members in the Grand Island Evangelical Free church and praise their Lord Jesus Christ for all the blessings in their life. In his spare time, he loves boating, motorcycle riding and Nebraska football. GO BIG RED!
